Jeffrey Knopman, Co-founder & CEO. Jeff has over twenty years experience in the apparel industry in which he was directly responsible for sales, marketing, merchandising, licensing and financial analysis and resolution of chargebacks and deductions through negotiations with retailers. Mr. Knopman is a co-founder and President of Profit Solutions Group Inc., an A/R and chargeback recovery outsourcing consultancy with over 5 billion dollars in managed receivables.

 

Moshe Silverstein
Moshe Silverstein, Co-founder & President. Prior to the founding of Blackline Technologies Inc., Mr. Silverstein was co-founder and COO of Nosocon Inc. a hardware and services company focused on combating nosocomial infections within healthcare institutions. Prior to Nosocon, Mr. Silverstein was a general business and technology consultant to various New York City based companies, specializing in technology implementation and integration initiatives. Prior to SilversteinGroup Consulting, Mr. Silverstein was a Product Manager for iWay Software and the iXTE product. Mr. Silverstein also represented Information Builders and iWay Software in standards committees such as OASIS and the UN/CEFACT. While at iWay Software Mr. Silverstein helped devise, found, and author the OASIS ASAP standard. Mr. Silverstein has held development management positions in various software companies with such clients as the NYPD, the NYS Judiciary and Corrections Depts., and the National Aeronautical and Space Administration. Mr. Silverstein has held senior program management positions at various companies in the XML Middleware and Integration sector. He was an early adopter and active member in the UN/CEFACT ebXML community, where he was principally responsible for architecture.
Howard Levy,Co-founder & CFO. Howard Levy has seventeen years experience in the retail industry as a financial executive; including 8 years at Bloomingdale's Vendor Relations/Accounts Payable, Budgeting, Accounting; 9 years at Lord & Taylor Vendor Relations/Accounts Payable, Budgeting, Accounting Markdown Allowance Control. Mr. Levy is a co-founder of Profit Solutions Group Inc.
Matt MacKenzie, CTO
Matt MacKenzie, CTO. Matt MacKenzie brings a wealth of software architecture and development knowledge and experience to the Blackline team. In addition to his role at Blackline Technologies, Matt is an Engineering Manager at Adobe Systems, where he leads a team of software developers developing Adobe's LiveCycle ES product line. Matt is a recognized expert in Service Oriented Architecture, XML messaging and metadata management technologies. Matt served as the chief editor of several international standards, including the Reference Model for Service Oriented Architectures (OASIS SOA-RM), ebXML Messaging (ISO 15000-2), ebXML Registry (ISO 15000-3, ISO 15000-4). Matt was an early technical contributor to the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), and has been recognized by the Government of Canada for his contributions as a delegate to UN/CEFACT.

Andre Charland
Andre Charland, Advisory Board Member. Andre Charland is President and co-founder of Nitobi Software Inc. a company that since 1998 has turned its focus toward becoming the premier AJAX development team. Mr. Charland maintains a commitment to the technology that has thrust Nitobi into the AJAX spotlight through daily product and customer interactions; Charland, as an early proponent of the building blocks of AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML), recently completed a book on the topic with his Nitobi co-founders on the Prentice Hall Professional imprint, entitled: Enterprise Ajax: Strategies for Building High Performance Web Applications (www.enterpriseajax.com).
